About
Untangle is a planarity puzzle set under the night sky. Stars are joined by glowing lines, and some of those lines cross. Move the stars one at a time until every line runs clear. A crossing line glows bright, and fades as soon as it is free.
The puzzle grows slowly. The first level has six stars and nine lines. About every third level adds a star, every tenth is a little larger, and from level fifteen each level ending in five is a lighter one to rest on. Every level is the same for every player.
As you go, the sky changes with you, from deep night through blue hour and dawn to sunrise, and past level thirty a bright day. The game keeps your place as you play, and a clock runs quietly if you like to time yourself.
How to play
- Drag a star to a new spot.
- Lines that cross glow red, so move stars until none do.
- Clear every crossing to solve the puzzle.
- Tap Undo to take back a move.
- Tap Hint if you are stuck, but it adds 10 seconds to your time.
Tips
- Begin with the star that sits in the most crossings. Moving it aside often frees several lines at once.
- Give yourself room. Spread the stars toward the edges, then draw them back in where they fit.
- Undo takes back a move and costs nothing, so feel free to try things out.
- A hint circles the star that crosses the most lines. It adds ten seconds to your time, if you are keeping one.
