Which puzzle suits you
If you like tidying and planning a few steps ahead, start with Magic Sort. Each level is a short sorting problem with no clock and no move limit, and the early levels teach the idea in a minute.
If you like deduction, try Minesweeper. Every number tells you how many mines touch that square, and the boards are made so the answer can almost always be worked out rather than guessed. Beginner is a 9 by 9 board with 10 mines, which is a good first game.
If you like something to look at while you think, Fruit Merge is a slow-building puzzle about space. Each drop matters a little, and a good run comes from keeping the big fruit together in one corner.
All three keep your progress in your browser, so a puzzle you leave halfway is waiting when you come back.
